Since its founding in 2002, the Sparrow Foundation’s Women Working Wonders has worked diligently to support the physical and psychological health of women in mid-Michigan. Over the past decade, through the generous support of our region, Sparrow Foundation W3 has raised nearly $4 million, with current fundraisers including:

Dapper Dads Challenge: Prominent Lansing-area men volunteer to participate in this fun competition. Following a kick-off event in March at Kositchek’s Menswear, the public is invited to visit our website, SparrowFoundation.org/DapperDads, and vote for their favorite contestants. Each vote is a $5 tax-deductible donation to the Sparrow Foundation. The competition culminates with a fashion show in June, featuring the outstanding fashions of Kositchek’s and delicious refreshments from the University Club of MSU.

Hats in the Garden: Hats in the Garden, which takes place in June, is an occasion for women to gather in a beautiful garden, sip champagne, sample sweets and savories, and learn more about W3’s mission to support women’s health needs in our region. Voluntary donations benefit the Deb Atkinson W3 Endowment Fund, which also supports women’s health.

Art a la Carte: This event, which premieres this October, features an exclusive art gallery to captivate admirers while they savor edible delights from an a la carte menu. Guests will have an opportunity to bid on limited-edition pieces. All proceeds will benefit women’s health initiatives at Sparrow.
