Hospice Rooftop Garden

Upon arrival, you immediately sense the difference at Sparrow Hospice House of Michigan; it does not look or feel like a hospital. It is replete with open space and each private room is recessed from the hallway with its own individual address, much like a real home. Lanterns resembling streetlights are mounted on the walls, and the rooms feature oak doors and furniture.

Because of Caroline's Rooftop Garden at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, Patients and their families have the opportunity to to enjoy a beautiful serene space which can be easily accessed even by those in wheelchairs. This peaceful outdoor space provides the perfect location to enjoy the warming sunshine and offers quiet moments of peace and reflection.

Hospice Living Trees

Within Sparrow Hospice House, two living trees carry the names of loved ones lost, whose family friends have chosen to honor their memory with tribute gifts to Hospice. Both trees were created through the generosity of donors. To engrave the name of a loved one on Living Tree Leaf, please call the Sparrow Foundation office at 517.364.3620 or email Foundation@sparrow.org. You can also download the memorial leaf form here.
