Since 1983, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than $5 billion- most of it a $1 at a time- for 170 children's hospitals across the United States and Canada, which, in turn, use the money where it's needed most. These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care. all to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Sparrow is a Children's Miracle Network Hospital working to save the lives of kids in our community. In fact, 62 children enter a Children's Miracle Network Hospital for treatment every minute- that's one child every second. Some are battling cancer. Some are suffering from a traumatic injury. Others require constant care becuse they were born too early or with a genetic disease. Regardless of why the kids are there, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals always have their doors open.
The Sparrow Children's Center has been your local Children's Miracle Network Hospital since 1988. Over the years, Sparrow Foundation donors have generously given more than $19 million towards Pediatrics. These donated dollars helped build the Sparrow's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), renovate both the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and the Pediatric Ward on the 5th floor.

Officials for Kids (Ron Mason Fund)
The Ron Mason Fund for Kids was established in 1998 to benefit the Sparrow Pediatric Rehabilitation Program within the Sparrow Children’s Center. Donations to the Ron Mason Fund for Kids help Sparrow continue to provide the highest quality of care for our little ones. Insurance companies often limit the amount of rehabilitation a patient may receive; sometimes parents of children who require extensive rehabilitation struggle to maintain their jobs and keep up with a treatment schedule.
