A comprehensive Neurosciences Center. Sparrow is embarking on a campaign to build an exceptional home for the Neurosciences in the top two floors of the Sparrow Tower. Serving individuals and their families from throughout our region and beyond, this comprehensive patient-centered facility will bring together the William & Claire Dart Stroke Center, Neuro trauma Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), and more. World-class neurological care can mean the difference not only between life and death, but between life and quality of life. The Pediatric Sub-Specialty Surgeon Endowment Fund will ensure the littlest of patients can receive all the care they need at Sparrow. Our goal is to reduce the gap that exists within the availability of medical sub-specialty surgical care for Mid-Michigan children. We must raise the necessary funds to recruit and retain world-class sub-specialty surgeons, ensuring that all the children in our community receive the best possible care. Through your support of the Sparrow Children’s Center we can achieve the highest quality care right here in Lansing.
The Heart and Vascular Education Center - Imagine a place where teaching, learning, mentoring, research, and team-based consulting may happen at any given moment. Such a space exists within the Sparrow Heart and Vascular Center, located on the fourth floor of the West Wing Tower. This state-of-the-art facility will one day be a fully interactive auditorium, connected to two procedure rooms and an operating room, with real-time viewing and teaching. The Auditorium will provide an excellent teaching facility for heart, neurology and interventional radiology departments, Michigan State University Medical School and other groups. Those inside the Auditorium can watch live case demonstrations, attend conferences on a given technique, observe and consult on a procedure, ask questions of a moderator and more.
