 2014 Hike/Bike for Hospice:

Celebrating Over 30 years of Sparrow Hospice Services!

  9:00a.m. REGISTRATION: Granger Meadows Park, DeWitt

                   Between US-127 and Wood Road, south of E. State Rd.

10:00a.m. OPENING CEREMONIES: All Participants

                    This year's heartwarming story; Annabelle Kong.

11:00a.m. HIKE/BIKE BEGINS

12:30p.m. CHILDREN'S BIKE/RUN: Ages 4-10

                                   

                                          Just for Kids!

Distance: 4-6 year olds: bike 1 mile and run 0.5 mile

                  7-10 year olds: bike 2 miles and run 1 mile

Cost: $25.00 per Child

(The $25 Duathlon Registration Fee allows children to Hike with parents during the Hike/Bike event as well.)

 

Bike 

  • For this year's Bike portion of the event, two biking routes are being offered. You may choose from either a 20 or 40 mile route. The routes have been carefully mapped out by our Bike Sub-Committee.
  • Please note that the bike route will start and finish at Granger Meadows Park
  • ALL bikers are invited to join hikers for the opneing ceremony prior to their journey.
  • There will be SAG support and a rest stop along the way. Helmets are required.

Proceeds from the Hike/Bike for Hospice help to support hospice care for terminally ill individuals with limited or no health insurance.
